Build a trade

1. Open Trade.
2. Add players and picks to each side. The AI manager tells you if it bites.
3. Check what can block the deal. Two things can: the cap, and the 40-man active roster limit.

The deal panel shows the cap numbers and the dead-money rule next to the figures they describe.

Shop a player

Open Trade block and list a player. Listing tells the other 31 teams that the player is available. It does not commit you to anything.

AI teams read the block when they build offers. A listed player draws more interest than one who is not.

The deadline

The trade deadline is at week 9. After it passes, the trade window is closed. Trades reopen next season. Use the time to line up your targets. In the playoffs, rosters are frozen too. See Run your season.
