Minors and farm systems
The farm is where your prospects grow. Use the Minors screen to track them, and Farm systems to compare your farm with the rest of the league.
Minors
Open Minors from My club. It shows every player on your farm, ranked by upside. Your scouts' grades drive the screen, so your scouting budget matters here. See Front office and Owner's box.
The strip at the top
The strip counts how many prospects are Rising, Falling and Holding. It also shows the Average age of the farm and your Top prospect.
A trend arrow needs a 2-point move in your scouts' opinion. Smaller shifts read as holding. The screen also tells you when your scouts file again. Before any grade moves, it says "No grade movement yet".
When your scouts file a report and a grade moves, the Dashboard's Up next list links you here.
The prospect table
The table is headed Minor leaguers. The columns are Name, Pos, Age, OVR, POT, Trend, Season and Yrs. Select a column head to sort. Select it again to reverse the sort, and a third time to go back to the default order. The default order is POT, highest first. Select a row to open the player page.
- Pos shows a farm role for pitchers: SP for a starter, CL for the closer, LR for long relief, MR for middle relief. The three highest-stamina arms start and the best stuff of the rest closes.
- Under each name, ETA gives the season a prospect should arrive. A player who is ready reads Ready now. There is no ETA when the screen cannot estimate one.
- Season shows the season line with the level it came from. Batters show AVG and HR. Pitchers show ERA and IP.
- Yrs shows contract years left. A rookie-scale deal on the farm shows auto, because it renews every season.
Better fit
The Better fit pane suggests position moves. A move can raise a player's grade at the new spot, or cover a position no one on the farm plays. Rows for a position with no cover carry a Depth tag.
- Find a row you like.
- Select its button, for example Move to 2B. The label changes to Confirm 2B.
- Select it again within 6 seconds to move the player. If you wait, it reverts to a suggestion.
The row shows what the player's grade will be at the new position. A moved player starts at that grade and climbs by playing there. Moving the player back does not restore the old numbers exactly, so check before you confirm. The pane shows suggestions on any team, but only your own GM can make the move.
The farm is the cheap place to move a player. A young player has more seasons to learn a new spot.
Farm systems
Farm systems lists every team's farm, ranked. Open it from Rankings. Strength is the average scout grade of a team's top 10 prospects. Tied teams share a rank. Each row names the team's best prospects.
It is the same measure an owner's farm goal uses, so the board and the season-end verdict agree. See Owner's box.
