League rankings, records and the deadline
These screens look at the whole league. You do not need them to run your team, but they help you read the market and track your own record. Open the Rankings and Records groups from the League menu. Deadline has its own entry.
Rankings
Rankings holds three live boards. They change on every advance.
Leaders
Leaders shows who leads the league. It has four panes: Stars of the league, Top starts, Hitting and Pitching.
- Stars of the league ranks players by sWAR. Early in a season, before enough games are played, it becomes Pace setters. That pane ranks by projected sWAR instead.
- Top starts lists the best single starts by Game Score. Only starts count.
- Hitting and Pitching hold one board per stat. Select a stat to switch boards. Hitting also has a position filter: All, C, IF, OF and DH.
A rate stat such as AVG or ERA needs a minimum number of plate appearances or innings. That minimum grows as the season goes on. Until someone qualifies, the board shows who is closest.
GMs
GMs ranks every GM in the league by career score. The score grades each roster decision on the wins a player delivered against what the player cost. Teams with a small budget get proportional credit. Select a GM to open that GM's full ledger.
A GM with too few scored decisions shows Unrated instead of a tier. Sign, trade or draft a player and it fills in.
Farm systems
Farm systems ranks every farm. See Minors and farm systems.
Records
Records holds the settled history. Nothing here changes until a season closes.
History
History is the record book. It has three panes:
- A list of champions by season, with the All-Star Game for each season that has played one below it.
- Awards, grouped by season, newest first.
- Records and leaders: the best single seasons, career leaders, and a Hall of Fame watch for active players.
Use the Season menu above the board to cut the board to one year. All time shows career totals. Two links at the top lead to Champions and Hall of Fame.
Champions
Champions lists every title, newest first, with the runner-up and the series MVP. A second pane, Titles by club, counts titles for each team. Select a season to open its title page. That page shows the final series game by game and the series MVP.
Hall of Fame
Hall of Fame lists every inductee. Retired stars join the list. Select a name to read the plaque, with the career line, seasons played and career sWAR. A new league has no inductees until a star retires.
All-Star Game
The All-Star Game is played mid-season. Open it from the All-Star list on History, one line for each season whose game has been played. The page shows the score, the MVP and both rosters.
Deadline
Deadline is the trade-deadline clock. It shows the days left, then Closed once the deadline passes. Its short note changes as the date nears:
- More than 14 days out, it is quiet.
- Within 14 days, contenders shop for arms and sellers price their veterans.
- Within 3 days, every deal lands or dies.
- After the deadline, there are no more trades until the offseason.
Two panes sit under the clock. Recent trades lists the latest deals in the league. Hot stove lists trade rumors. A rumor is marked when the rumored deal actually happened.
Use this screen to time your own moves. See Trades.
Player retrospectives
On a player's page, each entry under Past seasons opens a retrospective for that season. It is a card of that player's year. It holds Signature moments, a Season arc and the Milestones reached. Full profile takes you back to the player page.
