Accounts and signing in

You need an account to run a team in a league. Each game uses the same two ways to sign in: your Google account, or a one-time link sent to your email. You do not set a password.

How to

  1. Open the game's home page. If the page shows Sign in, select it. FTG Basketball shows Sign in first. FTG Baseball and FTG Football show the two choices on the home page.
  2. Pick Sign in with Google or Sign in with email.
  3. If you pick email, type your address and send the link. The game shows a message that the link is on its way.
  4. Open the email and follow the link. The link signs you in.
  5. If Google sign-in fails, try again, or use the email link instead.

Settings

Each game has a settings screen. There you choose which emails you get, and you set the display name that other GMs see. Mail is the only channel. The games send no browser alerts and no text messages.

  • FTG Football: select the gear beside your name in the left rail. The screen holds a Display name field and one switch for each kind of email. Changes save on their own. If you leave the name blank, other GMs see the name on your email. A separate card holds the Do not track me with analytics checkbox and a What we collect link.
  • FTG Baseball: open the account menu. Select Display name to change your name. You can change it once every 30 days. Select Email preferences to turn each kind of email on or off, then select Save preferences. The settings screen also has a Do not track me with analytics checkbox and a What we collect link.
  • FTG Basketball: open the account menu. Select Profile to change your display name. If you leave it blank, other GMs see the start of your email address. Select Notifications for the email switches. Each switch saves when you flip it. Guest leagues get no mail. Profile also has a Do not track me with analytics checkbox and a What we collect link.

Differences by game

  • All three games have a Play a demo league button on the home page. A demo needs no account. While you play as a guest, a banner asks you to save your account so you can keep the league. How long a demo league lasts is stated for FTG Basketball only. See Try it without an account.
