Your first season
FTG Baseball is a baseball GM sim that you play in your browser at baseball.ftgsports.net. You run one team for a full season. Each step below links to the page that covers it.
Read the Basics pages first for sign-in, leagues, drafts, trades and free agents. The pages in this section cover what is specific to baseball.
First steps
A good order is:
- Go to baseball.ftgsports.net and sign in. See Accounts and signing in.
- Create a league and pick the one team you will run all season, or join a league with an invite code. See Leagues and Run your season.
- In the offseason, set your scouting budget before the first game. You cannot change it during the season. See Front office and Owner's box.
- Build your draft queue, so the draft can pick for you if your clock runs out. See Draft.
- Set your lineup and pitching staff on the Depth Chart. See Your team.
- Check the roster for thin spots, then sign free agents. See Free agency.
- If you are the commissioner of a manual league, advance the season from the Dashboard. Everyone else sets up the team and waits for the schedule or the commissioner. See Leagues and Run your season.
- Before the trade deadline, look at trades. See Trades.
